About Creating Content and SIMCO License

When generating a new content package through the Object Editor, the generated installation will also include a temporary (30 days) evaluation license to this content package. The content installation can be sent to customers to evaluate it for 30 days. License extension for this evaluation period will be provided by SimiGon upon request.

However, using this content in the organization of the content creator will not require getting any license extension from SimiGon as long as the computer has a valid SIMCO (SIMbox Certified Organizations)  license.

A valid SIMCO license will provide you with the following:

1. Development capabilities - Compiling your own code in Visual Studio.

2. The ability of running any content installation that was created by your own organization on computers in the organization (as long as they have valid SIMCO licenses) without needing any license extension from SimiGon.

3. The ability of sharing single files, which were built by you or by developers from your organization, between computers (as long as they have valid SIMCO licenses) without needing any license extension from SimiGon.

4. The ability of running the simulation from a shortcut or command line.

Note: During simulation runtime, a "this is a development system" message will appear every 2 minutes. If that is a problem, please do not install the SIMCO installation on this computer. If the SIMCO is already installed, you can always revoke its licenses from the KnowBook Admin application.
