Hotfix Level 22 for Version 5.7
SimiGon announces the release of Hotfix level 22 for version 5.7. SimiGon releases product updates from time to time in an effort to continue to provide added value to our loyal customers. Our partners and customers are able to receive these updates between version releases and enjoy new capabilities and improved product performance before the large version release. With this release our goal is to improve the quality of service we provide in order to better support our partners and customers. Active maintenance customers will be able to receive this product update from SimiGon support.
New Features and Issues Resolved
Graphics Engine
Note: This HF GE version is equivalent to internal intermediate build 1.112.
- Changed VR/MR infrastructure, from OpenVR to OpenXR in order to improve performance, support MR, and improve device agnostic support.
- Added an API to re-center the headset - TriD::RecenterVRHeadset()
- Added settings "VR\Enable Mixed Reality" - Will activate MR on supporting devices (e.g., Varjo3)
- Added settings "VR\Enable Alpha" - Will enable MR pass-through using texture alpha levels
- Added settings "VR\Disable non-cockpit alpha levels" - Will reset alpha levels for all textures before the cockpit render stage (e.g., terrain, models)
- Added the ability to connect a headset to a SideView machine in order to improve SideView host performance
- Added the ability to provide an alternate set of environment variables for the 64bit SideView process - 3rd party plugins 64 bit EnvVars configuration
- Improved the accuracy of Cumulus cloud layers floor/ceiling
