New Features and Issues Solved in Hotfix #81731 (for SIMbox Version 5.6)

New Capabilities

LMS
- A new LMS permission: 'Machine Settings' – allowing / denying an end-user the ability to change server name and convert the machine type (client / stand alone). (See New Permissions)
- A new LMS permission: 'Objectives Management' - Enables access to the Objectives Center from the Tools menu. (See New Permissions)
- Ability to preview Word documents in MS Word instead of an html browser. (See Preview Word)
- Ability to preview PowerPoint Presentation files in PowerPoint instead of html browser. (See Preview PowerPoint)
- Ability to log-in to KnowBook using an Active Directory user while offline. (See Active Directory Login Offline)
- Feedback Report – performance improvements.
Simulation
- Enable binding DMT and VoIP network to a specified network adapter.
- Clouds system performance improvement.

LMS
- Ability to check out an un-locked course / item which contains a feedback event or resource.
- Ability to complete server-to-server sync even though a playback file failed the client-server sync.
- Web Access:
  - Ability to run an item / sequence with an apostrophe in its name.
  - Ability to open the activity properties window from the Today screen.
  - Feedback report shows the customized scales value.
- Reports:
  - Objectives Report – The report shows valid data after providing feedback on an objective with a space in its name.
- Domains:
  - Ability to create a sub-group (a group under a group) while the parent group is not in the same domain as the logged-in user.
  - Editing a domain - Double clicking the scroll bar no longer adds users to the domain.

LMS
- Word Documents are opened in editable mode.
- A customization error pops up when opening a document for preview using Office 2003.

Hotfix 81731 is the first hotfix for SIMbox version 5.6.
